TEHRAN -- The Iranian poet Babak Niktalab plans to compose a song, which will be performed by a group of Iranian and Lebanese young adults.

The song has been commissioned by Lebanon’s Imam al-Mahdi Scouts and Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).

The group will perform the song in a music video, which will highlight the role of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Iran and Lebanon.

“I plan to compose an epic song, which is suitable for young people,” Niktalab said in a press release on Tuesday.

The song will be composed and recorded based on the agreement, which was signed between the IIDCYA and the Imam Al-Mahdi Scouts two years ago.

Imam al-Mahdi Scouts is the youth movement of Hezbollah in Lebanon and was established on May 5, 1985. The organization has about 42,000 members of both sexes between the ages of 8 and 16, and is organized into 500 local groups.

Activities include camping, community service projects such as helping the disabled and cleaning places of worship, computing, fishing, team sports, boxing, reading classes, learning administrative skills, learning about Islam and protecting the environment.
