Iranian vocalist to perform at Beiteddine Art Festival of Lebanon

TEHRAN – Iranian vocalist Mohammad Motamedi is scheduled to give a concert at the Beiteddine Art Festival of Lebanon on June 21.
 
An orchestra from Lebanon and a Lebanese singer will be accompanying Motamedi in the first part of the concert named “In the Steps of Marco Polo”, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Tuesday.
 
A collection of Persian and Arabic poems composed by Fardin Khalatbari has been selected for the first part of the performance.
 
Motamedi has dedicated the second part of his performance to traditional Iranian songs accompanied by the Iranian Silk ensemble.
 
The ensemble features Pasha Hanjani on tar, Ali Rahimi on tonbak, Sina Jahanabadi on kamancheh and Hossein Rezainia on daf.
 
More than 70 musicians, singers and dancers from Lebanon and around the world are expected to share the stage during the “In the Steps of Marco Polo” concert for two nights.
 
Rafik Ali Ahmad, Abir Nehme, Charbel Rouhana, Lubnan Baalbaki, as well as the Sima Dance Company, the Indian Dance troupe Gair and the Ensemble of Venice are among the participants of the concert.
 
The Beiteddine Art Festival of Lebanon contains a variety of programs running in June and July.
