Entitled “Like This Wine”, the exhibit has been organized by Chilik, an Iranian photo agency and photographer bank, the ECO Cultural Institute announced in a press release on Monday.
Many experts on Islamic studies believe that the mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussein (AS) have deviated from their proper procedure over the past few decades.
The aim of the exhibit, which displays works of 33 photographers from Chilik, is to present the proper rituals held by Iranian people during the mourning season for Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions.
Among the photographers are Yadollah Abdi, Sadeq Musavi, Ladan Shoja, Shahbeddin Vajedi, Mohsen Sajjadi, Nasibeh Khalili, Amin Rahmani, Mona Hassan, Mehdi Taheri and Ali Masumi.
This show runs until January 18 and then it will travel to the cities of Sari, Takestan, Kashan and Qom.
The Diplomatic Gallery is located on 10 Naz Alley, off Movahhed-Danesh St. in the Aqdasieh neighborhood.
