Dubai Etemad Gallery will be playing host to an exhibition of Persian calligraphic paintings by Canada-based Iranian artist Salar Ahmadian next week.
Entitled “From Past to Present”, the exhibit will open on January 14 and will run until March 12, the gallery announced.
Although acquainted with the subtlety of traditional Iranian calligraphy, Ahmadian’s use of bright, bold colors are more akin to painting, which gives his works harmonious compositions.
Ahmadian has previously held exhibitions at the Orlando Museum of Art, Washington’s Georgetown Gallery, London’s Chelsea Gallery, and Montreux’s La Palais Oriental in Switzerland.
He is also a prominent sculptor.
