TEHRAN – A group of Turkish publishers and Iranian translators are scheduled to discuss ways to facilitate bilateral cultural cooperation during a seminar in Istanbul.
The one-day seminar will be held on November 10 at the pavilion of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute at the 33rd edition of the Istanbul Book Fair, which will run from November 8 to 16, Persian media reported on Wednesday.
Turkish publishers including Morpa, Acar, Evrensel, and Turkish poet and children’s books author Gulsum Cengiz will meet Iranian scholars and translators Kavus Hassanli, Nilufar Akbari, Rajabali Salarian and Hossein Bokaii at the seminar.
They will also explore ways to remove the current obstacles and help exchange more books between the two countries.
Publishers, readers, writers, editors, scholars, poets, translators and academics from over 30 nations will participate in the fair to explore their love for books in an event that also gives them the opportunity to meet the literary figures of Turkey.
The theme for the 33rd edition of the fair is “100 Years of Turkish Cinema” in celebration of the centennial of Turkish Cinema.
