Book on Muslims’ social and political life released
TEHRAN -- “The Islamic World”, an eight-volume book on the social and political life of Muslims, has been published by Amirkabir, a major Iranian publishing company, in Tehran.
The book, which has been compiled by Seyyed Yahya Rahim-Safavi, was unveiled during a ceremony in Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and a number of cultural figures attended the ceremony.
Persian carpets on display at IAF
TEHRAN – The Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) plans to hold an exhibition of Persian carpets in early September.
The carpets have been selected from the storehouse of IAF, the director of the IAF galleries, Jamshid Haqshenas, told the Persian service of MNA on Saturday.
Lanford Wilson’s plays appear in Persian
TEHRAN – Four plays by the American playwright Lanford Wilson (1937–2011) have recently been published in Persian.
The plays are “Ludlow Fair”, “Wandering”, “Home Free!” and “The Madness of Lady Bright”, which have been translated into Persian by Moin Mohebalian.
The books were published by Zolal Publications.
