Foreign literati attend seminar on Persian literature

TEHRAN -- Foreign scholars from 10 countries are attending the 7th International Seminar of Persian Language and Literature, which opened at Hormozgan University in Bandar Abbas.

Twenty-two literati from India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Tajikistan, Senegal, France and Syria will deliver speeches during the meeting, seminar secretary Najmeh Dorri told the Persian service of ISNA on Tuesday.

The latest studies on Persian language and literature are scheduled to be discussed at the two-day seminar.

The lingual relations between Persian and Arabic, folk literature, narrative literature, comparative literature and literary criticism are some of the subjects, which are slated to be discussed at the seminar.

Over 300 articles were submitted to the seminar, 104 of which will be published in a book.

The previous edition of the seminar was held at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran.
