TEHRAN – Iranian nomads will set up their tents to familiarize people with their lifestyle in an exhibition that opens tomorrow at Tehran’s Azadi Square.

Over ninety groups of nomads living in various regions across the country will display their artworks and cultural artifacts during the month-long exhibition entitled “Iranian-Islamic Culture and Lifestyle”, secretary of the exhibit Farzad Qasemzadeh said in a press release on Tuesday.

Organized by Tehran Municipality’s Art and Cultural Organization, a variety of Persian handicrafts, traditional artworks and foods are to be offered in a series of pavilions at the exhibit, Qasemzadeh added.

The festival has been organized to highlight the manifestation of local culture of different tribes living in the country, Qasemzadeh said, adding, “This variety of lifestyle will give the city dwellers a chance to be released from their boring lifestyles and return to their origins.”

A series of local games, street plays and live music performances have also been arranged on the sidelines of the program.
