TEHRAN -- A Persian translation of Felix Markham’s “Napoleon” has recently been published by Sales Publications in Tehran.
Translated into Persian by Soheil Somi, the book was published by Salis, a major Iranian company that mostly publishes books in the humanities.
“Napoleon” has been hailed as the most important single-volume work in Napoleonic literature.
This magnificent reconstruction of Napoleon’s life and legend, written by the distinguished Oxford scholar Markham, is based on intimate documents—including the personal letters of Marie-Louise, the second wife of Napoleon, and the decoded diaries of Grand Marshal Bertrand, who accompanied Napoleon to his final exile on St. Helena, according to the description by Amazon on its website.
