TEHRAN -- “The Flower”, a children’s play by the Iranian director Jafar Mahyari, will go on stage at the International Bursa Theater Festival for Children and Young People in Turkey.
Saeid Abak, Asghar Saberi, and Mona Beigi will star in the play, which narrates the story of a woman growing a flower with pure love and what happens when a man and a boy decide to steal it.
The flower and the battle between good and evil can be seen as symbolic of life itself.
Theater troupes from several countries including France, Germany, Netherlands, Bulgaria and the Ukraine will attend the festival, which will be held from October 8 to 13.
The festival has been sponsored by the Bursa Culture, Art and Tourism Foundation since 1962.
