TEHRAN -- Ninety-eight films from 48 countries will be screened at the 29th Tehran International Short Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from October 1 to 7.
French directors with 13 films lead the lineup. In addition, Spanish directors with seven films stand in second place.
Filmmakers from Canada, England, Turkey and Germany each with five entries, and directors from the U.S., Italy, Greece and South Korea each with four films will participate in the event.
The lineup includes “What Can I Wish You Before the Fight?” by Sofia Babluani from France, “A Russian Elephant in the Room” by Tanya Andrews from England, “Silent” by Rezan Yesilbas from Turkey, and “A 1-Minute Head Start” by Alfonso Nogueroles from Spain.
“Ice Philosophy” by Olivier Higgins from Canada, “Anien” by Boris Blumenthal from Germany, “Mul eo on doh” by Down Chung from South Korea will be competing in the festival.
Works by filmmakers from Australia, Poland, Japan, China, Sweden, Ukraine and several other countries will be screened in various categories of the festival.
