TEHRAN -- A Persian translation of Paul Auster’s latest work “Winter Journal” will be published in Iran in the near future, the translator said on Sunday.

Iranian publishing company Ofoq is scheduled to print the book in November, Khojasteh Keyhan told the Persian service of ISNA.

The English version of the “Winter Journal” was released in August 21, 2012.

“Facing his sixty-forth winter, internationally acclaimed novelist Paul Auster decides to write a journal as he sees himself aging in ways he never imagined,” the Amazon website wrote about the book.

Keyhan has previously translated Auster’s “City of Glass”, “In the Country of Last Things”, “Leviathan”, “Ghosts”, “Oracle Night” and “The Brooklyn Follies”.

Auster’s works “The Locked Room”, “Moon Palace”, “Timbuktu” and “The Book of Illusions” have also been rendered into Persian by other Iranian translators.

Paul Auster is the author of the bestselling “Travels in the Scriptorium”, “The Brooklyn Follies” and “Oracle Night”. His work has been translated into thirty languages. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
