These works are part of the repertoire arranged for the concert, Sonat Vocal Ensemble leader Mohsen Bafandeh said in a press release on Friday.
Rachmaninoff wrote two major a cappella choral works, “Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom” and “All-Night Vigil” (also known as the Vespers).
It was the fifth movement of “All-Night Vigil” that Rachmaninoff requested to have sung at his funeral.
The repertoire of the Sonat Vocal Ensemble also comprises works by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and some Armenian composers.
Under the rules of the festival, the ensemble is allowed to have only a piano for their performances.
The Fajr International Music Festival will be held in Tehran from February 13 to 19.
