
The competition was organized by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and several other Iranian institutes in February this year to commemorate the Global March to Baitul-Muqaddas (Jerusalem).
The collection is comprised of 110 works by cartoonists from 33 countries, Irancartoon, one of the organizers, announced on its website on Wednesday.
Iranian cartoonists Masud Ziaii, Bahman Jalali and Mehdi Azizi won the top awards of the event during the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which runs until September 4.
In addition, Fakhreddin Dustmohammadi and Saeid Sadeqi from Iran, Arif Sutristanto from Indonesia, Luc Descheemaeker from Belgium, and London-based Iranian artist Homayun Mahmudi, received honorable mention.
Marcio Leite from Brazil, Hicabi Demirci from Turkey, Mohammad-Hossein Nirumand, Abolfazl Mohtarami, Mohammadreza Dustmohammadi were on the jury of the contest.
