TEHRAN – An Iranian cultural festival will open at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Sarajevo today.
Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini has traveled to Bosnia to attend the opening ceremony of the event, the Culture Ministry announced in a press release on Sunday.
He met several Bosnian academics and scholars during the first day of his sojourn in Sarajevo on Sunday.
The festival, which has been organized by the Iran’s cultural attaché’s office in Sarajevo, runs until January 19.
Works by over 30 Iranian artists in the fields of calligraphy, painting, carpet weaving and illumination will be put on display in an exhibition during the festival.
Iranian bands and troupes have also arranged several concerts and puppet shows for the event.
