TEHRAN – A number of Egyptian students of the Persian language along with their teachers visited the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (CGIE) in Tehran on Sunday.
The group coming from different universities in Egypt including Cairo University, Al-Azhar University, and Ain Shams University are visiting Iran at the invitation of Iran’s Sadi Foundation, the Persian service of MNA reported on Monday.
“The guests have participated in their daily Persian language classes every morning, and have visited several cultural centers and universities across the city in the afternoons during their 12-day visit,” CGIE Literature Department Director Mehran Afshari said.
“Their trip will come to an end tomorrow and I hope they have been able to find good Persian language sources in here,” he said.
Persian language and literate is popular in Egypt and several universities across the country are teaching the Persian language, he added.
“We are hoping that cultural relations between Iran and Egypt develop and student exchange between the two countries commences again,” he stated.
