TEHRAN – Iranian artist Mikail Rahmani has displayed a variety of his artworks, highlighting the contemporary culture of Iranian Kurds, in a solo exhibit at Tehran’s Seen Gallery.

Photos, statues, paintings, installations and video art depicting the regional art of the Kurd people living in several provinces of Kordestan, Kermanshah and part of West Azarbaijan are shown in the exhibit, Rahmani told the Persian service of ISNA on Saturday.

“At first glance, the variety of artworks makes the visitors think it is a group exhibit, while this is a solo exhibit, in which I have covered different themes and concepts,” the artist of the Kurd origin said.

He added, “The main theme of the exhibit is the various issues that have influenced the art of the Middle East and war, which has been an effective element in this region of the country.”

The exhibit, which opened on December 2, will run until December 14 in the gallery, which can be found at No. 16, 12th Alley, Piruzan St. off Hormozan Ave. in the Shahrak-e Gharb neighborhood.
