
TEHRAN – Eleven-year-old Iranian girl Hasti Moin has received a medal at the 15th International Art Exhibition for Children and Young People, which is currently underway in Hyvinkaa, Finland, organizers announced.
Moin received the medal for her painting, which depicts a rural family harvesting wheat. She is from the southwestern Iranian town of Bagh Malek in Khuzestan Province.
Thirty-six other children from 18 countries were also honored with similar medals at the exhibition, which opened at the Villa Arttu Cultural Center on October 29.
The Iranian children Sama Mokhtari, Fatemeh Karimian and Mohaddeseh Khosravi also received diplomas at the exhibition, which runs until December 14.
The exhibition is held on the theme of food with the motto of “Let’s Eat!”.
In addition to paper-based works, the exhibition features videos and digitally created images.
Approximately 6000 artworks were sent to the exhibition from 77 countries. The submitted artworks were evaluated by a working group which consisted of artists and art educators.
