Iranian culture minster asks media of Islamic world to promote unity, peace

TEHRAN -- Iranian Minster of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati has asked media agencies in the Islamic world to promote unity, peace, and development among the Muslim nations.

Speaking during a meeting of foreign diplomats and the representatives of some international organizations in Iran on Tuesday, he said that a conference of the information ministers of the state members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is scheduled to be held in Tehran on December 2 and 3.

He expressed his hope that the conference will pave the way for more cooperation among the media agencies for the coverage of the events in the Islamic world and the enlightenment of the public opinion of the Muslim nations.

The conference aims to achieve integration among the media agencies for promoting peace in the Islamic world.
