
TEHRAN -- Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati heading a cultural delegation arrived in Kuwait yesterday to visit a number of Kuwaiti officials.
Jannati is scheduled to visit Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and the prime minister during his three-day stay, Iran’s cultural attaché in Kuwait told the Persian service of IRNA on Tuesday.
Abbas Khameyar added that Jannati will also visit the Kuwait Writers Guild and will hold talks with several Kuwaiti writers.
Meeting with Iranians residing in Kuwait has also been arranged during his visit. Jannati was Iran’s ambassador to Kuwait from 1998 to 2005.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Managing Director Mohammad Khodadadi and Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami are also accompanying the minister.
Khodadadi is scheduled to visit and hold talks with the officials of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
