TEHRAN -- Artists from Iran, Malaysia and Indonesia will showcase their works in a joint exhibition, which will be held on the island of Bali, Indonesia in April 2013.

Organized by the Malaysian-Iranian Art Society (MIAS) in Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition is on the theme of culture and modernism.

A total of 30 artists from the three countries will display their works in the various media of painting, sculpture, calligraphic painting, illumination and photography at the exhibit.

The selected artworks will first be exhibited in a gallery in Kuala Lumpur, the MIAS announced on its website. However, no date was mentioned for this show.

MIAS was established in early 2011 through voluntary action with the participation of 50 Iranian and Malaysian artists.

The society began its activities by arranging a joint exhibition of paintings under the title “Art Connexion” in June 25, 2011 at the Cube Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
