TEHRAN – Works by veteran and novice artists selected from the collections of three private collectors will go on sale in an exhibition in Tehran’s Dey Gallery beginning on Friday.

The paintings and sculptures will go on show in the exhibition “From the Past until Tomorrow”, offering works by veterans such as Hossein Zenderudi, Farideh Lashaii, Ali-Akbar Sanati and Manuchehr Yektaii, the gallery announced in a press release on Sunday.

The gallery owner Feryal Salahshur believes the sale will provide a fresh opportunity for consumers and art lovers.

“I mostly focus on works by novice artists and youth since I believe they are talented artists and need more support,” Salahshur said.

She added that the artworks will be offered at lower prices compared to those on similar items that went on sale at Tehran’s big art auction in June.

Works by Ardeshir Sasani, Najva Erfani, Zohreh Akhavan, Shirin Babazadeh, Susan Hashemian, Mehrnaz Salimi and Elham Fatemi are among the items to go on sale.

The exhibit will run for one week in the gallery which can be found at 130 Atefi St., off Vali-e Asr Ave.
