“The Beginner’s Goodbye” appears in Persian
 
TEHRAN – A Persian translation of Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist Anna Tyler’s “The Beginner’s Goodbye” has been published in Iran.
 
The book was translated into Persian by Keyhan Bahmani and published by Afraz Publications.
 
The book tells the story of Aaron Woolcott, an editor for a publisher of books with the beginner in mind, who after the death of his wife thinks there should be a beginner’s guide to dealing with the death of a spouse.
 
 
Cartoons on Gaza tragedy published in book
 
TEHRAN -- Selected cartoons from the 1st International Gaza Cartoon Contest have recently been published in a book.
 
“The International Gaza Cartoon Contest” was published by Sureh-Mehr Publications.
 
The contest was held by the Iranian House of Cartoon in 2008.
 
 
“Zorro” to go on stage at Tehran theater
 
TEHRAN -- Iranian director Shayan Afkari will stage “Zorro Goes on Trial” at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center tomorrow.
 
Ehsan Karami is the only actor of the play, which will be performed at the Gusheh Hall of the center.
 
Written by Afkari, the play is about the confessions Zorro made the night before his execution.
