TEHRAN -- The director of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) has advised cultural officials to offer something new for the younger generation.
“Over 30 years have passed since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and new ideas and language should be provided for the younger generation,” Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mehdi Khamushi said in Tehran on Saturday during a ceremony the IIDO held to usher in the new term in office of Mohsen Momeni as the director of the Art Bureau.
He asked Momeni to boost the activities of the Art Bureau during his new term in office as the head of the institution, which focuses on the fields of film production, book publishing, and visual arts.
“I attach particular importance to profit-making in the cultural sphere, and I believe the Art Bureau has the potential to make successful films,” he stated.
Khamushi also asked the Art Bureau to increase its production of films and cultural works that promote family values.
