TEHRAN -- A large collection of various forms of artworks on the theme of oil will be shown in an exhibit opening at Tehran’s Shirin Gallery on April 11.
The collection entitled “Black Gold” contains works by Kurosh Shishegaran, Parastu Foruhar, Babak Kazemi, Mehrdad Mohebali, Azdeh Avijeh, Alireza Masumi, Neda zarfsaz, Siamak Nasr, Amin Roshan, Jamshid Bairami, Firuz Faramanfarmaian and several other artists.
Works by the Belgian neo-conceptual artist Wim Delvoye, who is known for his inventive and often shocking projects, have also been selected for the exhibition, which will continue until April 23.
The works have been selected by Vida Zaeem and Leila Varasteh for the exhibition, which has been organized jointly by the Shirin and Homa Galleries.
A selection of the works is also scheduled to put on display in an exhibition at the Shirin Gallery in New York City afterwards.
Tehran’s Shirin Gallery is located at No. 9, 18th St. in the Velenjak neighborhood.
