TEHRAN -- Abstract paintings by 29 renowned artists will go display in an exhibition, which is scheduled to open at the gallery of the Mellat Cinema Complex on Friday. Works by four generations of this genre of painting in Iran have been selected for the exhibition entitled “Abstraction and Expression”.
Hossein Kazemi, Farideh Lashaii, Bita Vakili, Iraj Eskandari, Mostafa Dashti, Masud Arabshahi, Nikzad Arabshahi and Parivash Ganji are among the artists.
Farnaz Mohammadi will curate the exhibition, which will run until May 6.
The exhibition is organized by the Tasvir-e Shahr Institute, which is affiliated with the Tehran Municipality.
The Mellat Cinema Complex is located on Kordestan Highway, off Niayesh Highway.
