The pieces were selected from the repertoire he performed during a concert at the Beirut Theater in 1972, the Mahoor Institute of Culture and Art announced on its website on Monday.
Mohammad was one of the greatest performers of bouzouki, a long-necked, fretted lute of modern Greece.
He was a self-taught genius who recorded only two highly regarded LPs, before dying in poverty.
Among the piece he composed and performed are “Lamma yigheeb el-qamar”, “Baish el-Ghawazi”, “Aallala”, “Arur”, “Taqseem Nahawand”, “Hawa Hayya”, “Ouf Mashaal”, “Qadduka al-mayyas”, “El-qarasiya”, “Taqseem Bayati” and “Taqseem-Bayati kardan”.
