TEHRAN -- The Iranian movie “The Adventure of the Married Couple” will go on screen at the 61st San Sebastian Film Festival, which is currently underway in Spain.
Directed by Keyvan Karimi, the film will be shown at the 12th International Film Students Meeting, which will be held on the sidelines of the festival from September 25 to 27.
The film is based on a story by Italian writer Italo Calvino and is a poetic variation on the daily routine in black and white.
It is the story of couples who are living together and both work to make ends meet. The man works night shifts and the woman works during the day. They have to work all week even on weekends and whenever one of them comes home the other must get ready to leave.
The 12th International Film Students Meeting aims to shed light on the work of students from film schools across the world.
The meeting saw the participation of 138 short films from 63 schools in 26 countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran and Switzerland.
