TEHRAN – Iran’s pavilion at Frankfurt Book Fair 2012 plans to dedicate a section to books on Prophet Muhammad (S) in a response to the anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims”.
A series of books in Persian and several other languages about the life and character of the Prophet (S) will go on show at Iran’s pavilion, head of the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Esameili said in a press release published on Tuesday.
“We condemn the U.S. film, which is insulting to the Prophet Muhammad (S), and will offer the books at the fair to display the rightfulness of the Muslims in the world,” he said.
He added that the cultural department is ready to support the publication and translation of books on Prophet Muhammad (S).
Iran is attending with about 700 different books at the fair, which will take place from October 10 to 14 in Frankfurt.
