Voice actor Ali-Asghar Khaje-Afzali dies at 75

TEHRAN -- Iranian voice actor Ali-Asghar Khaje-Afzali, who was best known for the voices he provided for Stan Laurel, Woody Allen, Bud Abbott, and Franco Franchi, died of heart failure at his home in Tehran on Sunday. He was 75 years old.
 
He began his career in 1960 and then directed many groups of voice actors for foreign movies. 
 
He also voiced many characters in some popular animated series during the 1980s, and 1990s. Khaje-Afzali provided the voice for Beegle Beagle in “The Great Grape Ape Show”, the title character in “Inspector Gadget” and several other characters.
