TEHRAN -- The Iranshahr Theater Complex is playing host to an exhibition of photos of two anti-war Italian plays, which are currently on stage at the complex.

The exhibit displays 12 pictures taken by Iranian photographer Mehdi Ashena and his Italian counterpart Luigi Angelucci from “(a+b)3” and “Lev”.

“The photos of the plays in the theater aim to convey the message of the performances. In my pictures, I have tried to highlight the anti-war theme of the play,” Ashena told the Persian service of Fars News Agency.

He said that the director of the plays, Claudia Sorace, plans to hold the same showcase in Italy as well.

“Lev” narrates the life of a Russian veteran during World War II. He loses his memory, but he is obliged to maintain his contacts with people.

The other play “(a+b) 3” narrates the life of two lovers who plan to go out at night. They prepare themselves and move out frantically, until they stop in front of a mirror that reflects their names on their dim shadows.

The exhibit started on September 15 and will run until September 25.
