TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center is playing host to an exhibition of postcards for peace, which have been created by people from 20 different countries.

Organized by Tehran Peace Museum in collaboration with the Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality, 200 postcards from Afghanistan, China, Iraq, Japan, Vietnam, Iran and several other countries are put on show in the exhibit, which opened on Sunday.

This is part of the project initiated by the Interfaith Paths to Peace, a non-profit organization (NGO) based in Louisville, Kentucky, United States.

The organization has been established since 1995 aiming to make the world more peaceful by bringing people of different religions together through programs and events that promote inter-religious understanding.

However, it seems that children and young adults have welcomed the idea more than others, and most of the works on display are created by children.

A series of paintings bearing a variety of different cultures along with simple and delicate words and sentences are seen in the exhibit, which will be running at the center until September 26.

The postcards were previously displayed in other countries including Japan.
