The exhibit has been organized by the Moka’ab-Honar Artistic Cultural Institute in a response to the U.S. anti-Islamic film “Innocence of Muslims”.
Fifty top works have been selected out of 1500 artworks displayed in the 9th Bismillah Festival in August, institute director Mohammadreza Kamareii said in a press release on Tuesday.
“Iranian artists have so far issued statements of condemnation in response to the anti-Islamic movie, however we have not seen any serious movement to respect the name and position of Prophet Muhammad (S),” he said.
“Innocence of Muslims” is an amateurish movie originated in the United States and insults the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S).
He added that the posters and logotypes would be on show until the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday in January 2013.
Mostafa Ebrahimi, Maryam Nosrati, Zeinab Mehrabad, Iman Abazari and Fatemeh Eslami are among the artists whose works are on display.
Termeh Gallery, affiliated with the Moka’ab-Honar Artistic Cultural Institute, is located at No.1287, North Eastern corner in the Seyyed Khandan neighborhood.
