TEHRAN -- Roman Polanski’s “Oliver Twist” will go on screen during Iran’s International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults.

“Oliver Twist”, a different adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel, will be competing in the Screen Adaptation Section of the festival, which will be held from October 8 to 13 in Isfahan.

“Oliver Twist” (2005) is a British drama film, which was preceded by numerous adaptations of the Dickens book, including several feature films, three television movies, two miniseries and a stage musical that became an Academy Award-winning movie.

The film is about an orphan who meets a pickpocket on the streets of London. From there, he joins a household of boys who are trained to steal for their master.
