TEHRAN -- Pop singer Mohammad Esfahani has performed a song, for a trailer for “Kissing the Moon-Like Face”, a family drama which is scheduled to premiere on September 26.
This is first time a song was recorded for a trailer in Iran, the film’s Public Relations Office announced in a press release on Saturday.
Composed by Abdoljabbar Kakaii, the lyrics are about maternal dedication.
The trailer will be screened on Iranian TV channels.
Directed by Homayun As’adian, the film is about Ehteramossadat and Forugh, two women who live in a neighborhood. They have been waiting for their children to return for 20 years.
Shirin Yazdanbakhsh won the best actress award for her portrayal of Ehteramossadat in the International Section of the 30th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran in February 2012.
