TEHRAN -- Collection of artworks featuring various Persian designs will be showcased in an exhibition at Tehran’s Kamaleddin Behzad Gallery this evening.
Created by Hadi Bahrani, the designs have been created through painting, pottery, carpet and several other media by Jahanbakhsh Rostamian, Reza Ameri, Reza Fattahi, Amir Farid, Alireza Mesmarian, Hurieh Hadi, Gholamali Zaferanchi and Elham Monadi, the gallery reported on Saturday.
The designs have been created based on Persian legends, rituals and historical events.
“Many designs have been created and evolved over history,” Bahrani said in the catalogue of the exhibition.
“The designs have usually been based on the environment, lifestyle, legends and rituals of humans in every period,” he added.
“Human’s belief in the designs has led him to live peacefully and harmoniously,” he stated.
Bahrani said that the designs are mostly based on the legends and rituals from his homeland, Abadan, a city in southwestern Iran.
The exhibition will run until February 14 at the gallery located on Shanzdah-e Azar St. off Keshavarz Blvd.
