Eight sculptures will be showcased at the exhibit entitled “As Far as I Remember”, which opens on January 14.
“I used symbols from Persian architecture, which are in line with my nostalgic feelings, to create these works,” Sabri told the Persian service of FNA on Wednesday.
He said that the sculptures feature the human identity and question differences among the human beings.
“I use fiberglass and new polymers to make the sculpture, because I believe that the use of light materials makes me a forerunner in contemporary sculpture,” he added.
Sabri’s works have previously been sold along with works by world-renowned Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli at international auctions.
