TEHRAN – A Kuwaiti media delegation met Farabi Cinematic Foundation (FCF) Director Ahmad Mir-Alaii in Tehran on Friday.
Ways to establish mutual relations were discussed during the meeting, the FCF reported in press released on Saturday.
“Our people are familiar with the Iranians’ resistance during the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988),” said Kuwait House of National Works Chairman Yousuf al-Omairi, who led the Kuwaiti delegation.
“We are interested in screening films on the theme of the war,” he added.
Referring to his previous visit to the southwestern Iranian cities in the former war-torn regions, Al-Omairi said, “I felt the gallantry of the Iranian soldiers when I visited the cities of Abadan and Khorramshahr.”
He also said that the Kuwaiti people also sustained heavy losses in the Iraqi attack on their country.
“Due to the achievements of the Iranian cinema in the world, Iran can help Kuwait to progress its film industry,” Al-Omairi stated.
