TEHRAN -- Two Iranian cartoonists have been honored with special diplomas at the 6th Urziceni International Cartoon Contest in Romania.
Iranian artists Ali Miraii and Mojtaba Heidarpanah received the diplomas in the free theme section of the contest.
The main section of the festival was held on the theme of One-Way Road, in which Cristian Mihailescu from Romania won first prize.
In addition, Costel Patrascan from Romania received the first prize in the side section of the contest.
Mihai Boaca and Octavian Bour from Romania, Makhmudjon Kereshonkulov from Uzbekistan and Blaze Dokuleski from Macedonia were also presented honorable mentions.
The winning works along with a selection of the submissions to the competition are currently on display at an exhibition, which opened Urziceni on December 15.
