He made the remarks during a press conference for the premiere of his latest action blockbuster “CZ12” in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Monday.
He has traveled to Malaysia to promote the film, which is claimed to be his last work in the action genre.
Chan said that he has been informed about the large number of his fans in Iran and in the Middle East, and added that he would try to visit Iran in the future.
Chan shot to fame in Iran during the late 1980s when some foreign movies were smuggled into the country by film bootleggers.
Due to their relatively lower level of English knowledge at that time, the Iranian people used to show a strong interest in action movies and those containing acrobatic fighting scenes.
