Directed by Ali Mosaffa, “The Last Step” is about Leila, a movie superstar who is mourning over the loss of her husband.
On the set of her film, she suddenly finds herself totally powerless to control her laughter before the camera and no one could ever guess the reason behind the hysteria that began at the scene of her husband’s death.
“Today” by Alain Gomis is about Satché who wakes up in perfect health, but for some reason is aware that this is to be his last day, and that he will not live to see the next morning.
“The Last Step” won the Love and Psyche Prize at the MedFilm Festival in Rome in October.
Leila Hatami won the Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Leila in the film at the 47th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Czech Republic in July.
The 17th International Film Festival of Kerala was held in Thiruvananthapuram, India from December 7 to 14.
