TEHRAN -- Iranian graphic designers Maryam Moaddi and Kazem Khorasani attended Sarir-e-Khama: Art of the Pen International Conference, which opened on Monday in Lahore, Pakistan.
The University College of Art and Design of the University of the Punjab in collaboration with the Calligraphers Association of Pakistan has organized the conference, which runs until December 25.
Experts and artists from Turkey, Syria, Iraq, England and several other countries are also participating in the event.
The main focus of the conference is on the development and evolution of calligraphy, and its impact on Islamic art and architecture.
An exhibition and a five-day workshop are currently underway on the sidelines of the conference.
Another exhibition featuring development in Quranic manuscripts has also been arranged on the sidelines.
