TEHRAN -- A number of Iranian scholars will discuss “Phenomenology in Psychology and Psychiatry: A Historical Introduction” by American philosopher Herbert Spiegelberg (1904-1990) during a meeting at Tehran’s Book City Institute on Tuesday.
Academics Abdolkarim Rashidian and Masud Olia will discuss the book, which is a landmark historical survey by Spiegelberg.
Spiegelberg played a prominent role in the advancement of the phenomenological movement in the United States. He received grants from the Rockefeller Foundation to make preparations for the first edition of the book.
Book City is located on the corner of Third Alley and Ahmad Qasir St., north of Shahid Beheshti Ave.
