The informative memoirs “Anyone of His People Among You”, which was published in Hebrew in Israel in 2001, were translated by Iranian scholar Gholamreza Emami.
He renamed the book “Memoirs of Meir Ezri” for Persian publication. Tehran-based company Elm is the publisher of the book.
Ezri was former Israeli ambassador to Iran during the days of Iran’s last monarch, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
He was an Iranian-born Israeli who immigrated to Israel in the early 1950s. He was sent back to Iran in 1958 to serve as Israeli’s first ambassador in order to bridge between Iran and the Zionist regime. Ezri held the position until 1975.
“In his book, Ezri reveals all secret and open relations between the Zionist regime and the Pahlavi government,” Emami told the Persian service of ILNA on Monday.
He said that Ezri played a key role to facilitate migration of Iranian Jews to Palestine.
