TEHRAN - A Persian translation of “Zoroaster in History” written by Italian scholar and Iranologist Gherardo Gnoli has recently been published in Iran.
The book, which was originally published by the Bibliotheca Persica Press in 2000, details the life story of Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism.
“Zoroaster in History” has been translated into Persian by Mahdieh Cheraghian, and published by Parseh Books.

TEHRAN – A Persian translation of Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz’ novel “Respected Sir” has been published by Parseh Books in Tehran.
Translated by Karim Purzobeid, the book is a satiric portrait of an aspiring government employee, Othman Bayyumi.
Born in 1911, Mahfouz was a prolific writer who was awarded a Nobel Prize in literature in 1988.
Iranian, Tunisian national libraries sign MOU

TEHRAN – A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) and the National Library of Tunisia.
The MOU was inked in Tunis during a meeting between NLAI Deputy Director Gholamreza Amirkhani and National Library of Tunisia Director Mohamed Kamel Eddine Gaha, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
Plans to organize workshops, educational courses and book fairs have been discussed in the MOU.
Based on the MOU, the libraries will also conduct joint research projects and exchange information and experts.
