TEHRAN – Iranian troupes have won all awards in the national and international sections of the 33rd Fajr International Fajr Festival.
The winners were announced during the closing ceremony of the festival at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on Sunday.
The award for best director in the international section went to Mohammad Mosavat for his play “Fa.Mi.Ly”.
Mahin Sadri was picked as the best dramatist in this section for “Fellowship”, and Elham Korda and Setareh Eskandari shared the best actress award for their roles in the play, which was directed by Afsaneh Mahian.
The special jury award was presented to director Iman Eskandari for “The Man Outside”. He also won the best stage designing award for the play.
Khosro Shahraz won the best actor award for his role in “Oliver Twist”, which was directed by Asghar Khalili, and Tumaj Danesh-Behzadi received the best actress award for “The Man Outside”.
Bahar Ilchi won the best music award for her composition for “Wow” directed by Tinu Salehi.
In the national section, the awards for best director and best playwright went to Kheirollah Taqianipur for “Turkey”.
The 33rd Fajr International Theater Festival was held in Tehran from January 21 to February 1.
