TEHRAN -- The Iranian theater troupe Aran is scheduled to stage the “Ashura” opera puppet show at Materia Prima, the international form theater festival which will be held in Krakow, Poland from November 17 to 24.
Behruz Gharibpur will direct the group in two performances arranged for November 17 and 18.
The show, which has previously been staged in Iran and at several international events, is about the martyrdom of the Imam Hussein (AS) and a number of his followers.
He will also give lecture about the notion of form in theater and also give some explanations about his other plays during the festival.
