TEHRAN – The Arab American National Museum in Michigan is hosting an exhibition of typography works by ten Iranian and Arab artists.
The exhibition, which opened at the museum’s Lower Level Gallery on November 26, 2014, runs until February 5.
Iranian artist Puya Jahanshahi and U.S.-based Syrian graphic designer Maece Seirafi are the curators of the showcase.
The 10 artists come from diverse Middle Eastern backgrounds, but all live in California and use the Persian and Arabic alphabets in their designs.
The works were created by Iranian artists Kurosh Beigpur, Sam Anvari, Paymon Pojhan, Ebrahim Pustinchi, Puya Jahanshahi and Shila Shakuri, and Arab graphic designers Yusef al-Ahmad, Milka Broukhim, Maece Seirafi and Reem Hammad.
