TEHRAN -- The Iranian cultural attaché in Athens, Mohammad-Hossein Mozaffari, said that Iran plans to honor Iranian and Greek scholars promoting cultural and scientific relations between Iran and Greece.
He made the remarks during a meeting with the chancellor of Athens’ Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Grigorios Tsaltas, and the vice-chancellor of the university, Ismini Kriari-Katrani, on Saturday, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Sunday.
The expansion of cultural and scientific relations between Iran and Greece was discussed during the meeting.
Mozaffari asked the officials to do their best to provide the usual preliminaries to implement the terms of the memorandum of understanding that the university has previously signed with Tehran’s Shahid Behshti University.
He said that Iran is ready to provide all facilities to put the terms of the MOU in practice.
Tsaltas said that he is interested in visiting Iran in the near future to discuss ways to implement the terms of the MOU signed in the meeting with officials of Shahid Behshti University.
