TEHRAN -- The director of the Dramatic Arts Center of the Ministryof Culture and Islamic Guidance, Hossein Taheri, said that Iran has been selected as location foe the International Theatre Institute’s Regional Bureau for Asia-Pacific.
The decision to select Iran as the ITI Regional Bureau for Asia-Pacific was made at the ITI World Congress, which was held in Yerevan, Armenia from November 17 to 22, he said in a press release on Saturday.
An Iranian delegation led by Taheri attended the meeting.
The ITI is an international non-governmental organization in the field of the performing arts holding a formal associate relationship with UNESCO.
ITI has four regional bureaus, which coordinate ITI activity in their respective regions.
